Built from the ground up to be one of the most rugged semi-rugged notebook computers built, the new S400 is made using Getac’s new KryptoShell™ body. Getac’s new KryptoShell body allows the S400 to meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G temperature, shock, vibration specifications and a 29 inch drop.

The S400 offers two processor options including the powerful Intel® CoreTM i5 2.66GHz processor, up to 3.2GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. The S400 features a 14 inch widescreen display and can be configured with features essential for field use including a bright, 700 NITS display with glove-friendly multi-touch touch screen technology and water resistant backlit keyboard.

With an integrated GobiTM 2000 mobile broadband card, the S400 can be easily configured for multi-carrier wireless deployments. Security is always a concern and the S400 is loaded with advanced security features to safeguard important data including a fingerprint scanner, TPM 1.2, and a smart card reader.
