Getac A790

Getac A790 Notebook is the latest rugged notebook of the Getac family. It accurately fulfills the critical EMI requirements as well as the ratings of MIL-STD-810G certified and IP65 compliance and thus can survive any kind of harsh environment. It has a sunlight readable LCD screen of 14.1" TFT with a shock-proof HDD. It has large range of ambient temperatures. A790 notebook has wireless access via Bluetooth, WLAN, and WWAN. This rugged computer has up-to-date technology and operates on a battery power of more than 200 watt-hours through main and a couple of auxiliary batteries. It comes in gunmetal gray color.

The A790 Notebook is packed with modern computer technology and connectivity inside an extremely tough box. This computer is almost indestructible. It has more possibilities of expansion and is more flexible in terms of customization than almost any other rugged computer out there.

The Getac A790 Notebook has multiple bays providing expandability, versatility and flexibility. You can connect removable hard drives, auxiliary batteries, Bluetooth, GPS, and many other modules. This notebook has great authentication tools like its fingerprint scanner, smart card reader and TPM chip.

There are two options in LCD’s screen size; one is 12.1” and the other is 14.1”. Both of them have a pixel resolution of 1024 x 768. There is a touch screen option in the 12.1” LCD.

This rugged notebook has DDR2 memory with 1GB. It can be expanded to 4GB. It has an 120GB drive primary hard disk, expandable to 500GB.

A790 has a waterproof and dustproof rubber keyboard. Although it is the perfect machine for use in severe environments, its keys need to be pushed firmly unlike the usual way of typing.

This notebook has rubber moldings and thick bumpers all around thus protecting its edges and corners. All the internal slots and bays are protected through thick metal doors, rubber seals and foam padding.

This Getac rugged notebook has great option of adding ISA, PCI and PCI-Express cards via expansion units, which you won’t find in any of its counterparts. You can also use a SIM card in it. Moreover it has a fan-less design thus operating silently. This notebook uses heat pipes with thick case of aluminum alloy for keeping the computer cool.
