Rugged Notebooks at EMS Expo
We wanted to thank everyone that had the opportunity to attend the EMS Expo 2011 in Dallas last week. For all of those we had a chance to meet with and discuss the various Rugged Notebooks solutions, we thank you for stopping by the booth and sharing your requirements and challenges.
We used part of our time during the show to demonstrate a couple of the fully rugged computers which were on display and recorded the event. We subjected the tablet PC you see in the video to several tough challenges.
The first test was a bowling demonstration in which the unit was thrown down the corridor and it tumbled end over end. We picked the unit up and it proved to be completely functional. The next phase was a submersion test where a press member submerged the units in water and again the units demonstrated continuous functionality. Later, we doused the tablet with simulated blood leaving no stains. Finally, we showed how quickly the units cleaned up that were then sterilized in an alcohol wipe down. The units cleaned up perfectly and looked like they were brand new.
We also had a couple of drawings at the show and I wish to congratulate the winners:
1. Bruce Woods, Fire Chief of Connerville Fire Department, Johnson County, Connerville, Oklahoma
2. Tim Whitecotton, Lieutenant, Walker County Sheriff’s Department, Huntsville, Texas
Again, thank you to all who dropped by our booth and please let us know if you need any further information or assistance.
